地方航空路線の撤退要因と維持・拡充に係る研究

概要	景気の低迷，燃料費の高騰等に伴って，特に2000年代の後半に航空需要が減退し，国内線地方路線において航空会社の路線撤退が多く発生した．本研究では，2001年～2010年における路線撤退・休止に至るまでの実績データを網羅的に精査しその要因分析を行った．さらに，地方路線が粛々と維持される欧州の状況の分析，および近年変遷を遂げつつあるわが国民間航空の現況と将来ポテンシャルへの分析を踏まえた上で，今後の地方路線の維持・拡充のためにあるべき方策と方向性について考察を行った結果，（1）リージョナル航空/リージョナル小型機の活用，（2）LCCの地方路線への進出の奨励，（3）足らざる部分を補完する支援制度，が有効であるとの結論に至った．

Title	A Study for the Cause of Airline’s Withdrawal from Local Air Routes and Sustainment/Expansion of Those Routes

Abstract	The paper is to conduct the analysis over the cause of airline’s withdrawal from local air routes based on the thorough review of withdrawal facts data from 2001 to 2010.Then, together with the analysis on the status of Europe and the analysis on the future potential of changing air transport in Japan, it addresses appropriate measurers for sustaining and expanding local routes. As a result, it is concluded that (1)High utilization of regional airlines/regional aircrafts, (2) Encouragement of LCC’s entering into local routes and (3)Subsidy scheme to supplement above measures are effective.
