都区部昼間人口（2005年国勢調査）の問題点と昼間人口の都心回帰

概要	先般公表された国勢調査の都区部昼間人口は，夜間人口との比較から人口脱漏の可能性が高い．そこで昼間人口算出の原点にさかのぼり検討した結果，算出方法や年齢不詳者及び就業状況未回答者の増加によって，昼間人口が過小に表示されていることが判明した．このため，国勢調査の基本集計データとの整合性に留意しつつ，都区部を中心とした通勤通学者数と昼間人口の推計を行い，その結果をもとに2005年における昼間人口の都心回帰を明らかにするとともに，都心機能が港区を中心として都区部東南方向に展開しているなどの知見を得た．

Abstract	The Tokyo Metropolitan Area has been developing for a long time since early last century. Despite of this, the population census in 2000 reported decrease of daytime population in the Tokyo Special Ward (center of Tokyo Metropolitan Area). Using data from population census in 2005, this article estimates the current trend of daytime population in the Tokyo Special Ward.
