Outine of Reasearch

New mobility services that utilize technologies such as IOT, big data, AI, and 5G are expected to not only solve the transportation problems of urban and rural areas, but also to revolutionize urban planning and people's lifestyles.

While technological innovations such as automated driving, data linkage, and the development of applications are enriching mobility resources, there are still issues to be addressed, such as regulatory systems, business practices, community consensus, compatibility with infrastructure, and municipal finances.

On the other hand, the threat of the new coronavirus in 2020 has led to the implementation of mobility restrictions on a global scale. In a "post-coronavirus" world that has overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, people's values and lifestyles are expected to change, and their behavior toward mobility is expected to change significantly.

The purpose of this research is to examine how to establish a new mobility service in a sustainable manner, beyond the demonstration experiment stage, and to make recommendations for solving the problems, taking into account the recent changes in the situation and overseas trends.
