Mr. Shukuri, Chairman, JTTRI and Mr. Okuda, Executive director, JTTRI went to Manila, Philippines to attend ‘The International Seminar on Railway and Development in Philippines’ in February 12, 2020, met H.E. Mr. Arthur P. Tugade, Secretary of Transportation, Mr. Yoshiro Wada, Chief Representative, JICA Philippines and visited railways in Manila. They also went to Jakarta, Indonesia to the same theme seminar in Indonesia in February 14, 2020 , met H.E. Mr. Akira Chiba, Ambassador to ASEAN and H.E. Mr. Masafumi Ishii Ambassador to Indonesia and visited railways in Jakarta.

1.Activities in Manila, Philippines(Feb. 2 – Feb. 12)

〇Meeting with Mr. Yoshiro Wada, Chief Representative, JICA Philippines (Feb. 10)
Appreciating for JICA’s support and cooperation for ‘International Seminar on Railway and Development in Philippines’ in February 12, 2020, exchanging views on transport, especially railway projects in Philippines and asking for JICA’s support and cooperation for JTTRI’s future activities such as establishment of the ASEAN branch office.

2.Activities in Jakarta Indonesia(Feb. 13 – Feb. 14)

〇Meeting with H.E. Mr. Akira Chiba, Ambassador to ASEAN (Feb. 13)
Introducing ‘the International Seminar on Railway and Development in Indonesia’ in February 14, 2020 as well as two seminars of the same theme having been held respectively in Thailand and Philippines, exchanging views on transport and tourism in ASEAN member states, and asking for support and cooperation of Mission of Japan to ASEAN for JTTRI’s future activities such as establishment of the ASEAN branch office.
