After completing regional and town planning at The University of Queensland (Australia), Dr LEUNG worked as a Town Planning Graduate at the Planning Department of the Hong Kong Government. He later served as a Senior Research Fellow at Griffith University’s Cities Research Institute (Australia), and has held appointments including Adjunct Research Fellow at the Griffith Institute for Tourism (GIFT), Visiting Fellow at the University of Jyväskylä (Finland), and an affiliate of the Sustainable Mobility Research Lab at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Since February 2026, he has been a Research Fellow at the Japan Transport and Tourism Research Institute, conducting research on innovative public and regional transport and tourism.
