Meeting with Mr. Akiba, Secretary Genera of National Security Secretariat

On Wednesday, September 1, 2021, Mr. Shukuri, Chairman, JTTRI and Mr. Okuda, President for International Affairs, JTTRI visited the National Security Secretariat and met with Mr. Akiba, Secretary Genera of National Security Secretariat.

We exchanged a wide range of opinions about the current status of the "Free and Open Indo-Pacific" and the foreign policy implications of the overseas deployment of transportation infrastructure such as railroads, and domestic and international developments in the field of COVID-19 infections, including our policy recommendation on the introduction of the "Digital Vaccine Passport" announced on July 12, 2009. Also we asked for continuous support for the activities of the Institute, the Japan International Transport and Tourism Institute, USA, and JTTRI ASEAN-India Regional Office (AIRO).
