Meeting with H.E. Mr. Sugiyama, Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (former Ambassador to the U.S.)

On Monday, April 12, 2021, Mr. Shukuri, Chairman, JTTRI and Mr. Okuda, President for International Affairs, JTTRI visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Sugiyama, Adviser to the Minister for Foreign Affairs (former Ambassador to the U.S.).

We expressed our gratitude for his support and cooperation during his tenure as Ambassador to the U.S. regarding the activities of the JTTRI and JITTI, and requested his support and advice for the future activities of the JTTRI, including the establishment of the ASEAN-India Regional Office in Bangkok (Thailand) on April 1, 2021. And we held a broad exchange of view about the trend of the Biden administration, the future relationship between Japan and the U.S., and the situation of transportation and tourism.
